Release/Renew not working in 2.30.1 [closed - not conf.]

I'm hooked up to Rogers cable, and the release and renew ip options on the information page of the router web admin is no longer working, so I am assuming a script is broken there somehow.  I'm not having a problem with the router connecting to the internet and getting the DHCP assigned ip, I just can't release and renew.  I get an error when I try to do either (shows in the information for the interface eth1).

Do you try with another NIC?

I have 2.30.1 and don´t have this problem.

Good Luck

Could it be a driver problem?  eth0 is using 8139too and eth1 is using tulip.  Network interfaces status shows one error in RX packets and one in TX packets.

Código: Selecionar todos
RX packets:6709880 errors:1 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
TX packets:355906 errors:1 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:1

Could it be a QOS issue?  I've got a bit of an unusual QOS setup.

The thing is though, I had the exact same setup with 2.30, the same hardware, the same drivers, and the same QOS setup, as far as I can remember, but it worked with no problem.

What happens when you type:

dhcp.release
and
dhcp.renew

Can you please capture the commands result and post here.

Ugh, I was afraid you were going to ask that...  I run a server, and tonight is my games night.  If I change my ip I will have to reset the DNS, and that can take anywhere from an hour, to a full day.  I'll try to remember to do this on Sunday or Monday.

ok, don't worry. Do it when you can.
