Why should I use SCP?

- SCP is a secure and easy way to transfer files to BrazilFW.

What do I need?

- A WORKING BrazilFW computer.
- The SCP package (Download here)
- An SCP client. I recommend PSCP and WinSCP from PuTTY.

How do I install it?

- Download the file scp.tgz and copy it to your BrazilFW diskette.

How do I use it?

PSCP
PSCP is a command line utility (DOS); type pspc to see a list of options and syntax.
- copying a file to BrazilFW:

Código: Selecionar todos
pscp "your file" root@xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:/directory/"your file"

- copying a file from BrazilFW:

Código: Selecionar todos
pscp root@xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:/directory/"your file" "your file"

WinSCP
WinSCP is a free client software much more complete than SCP for Windows.
Once you connected to BrazilFW, you will see two panels with a tree of directories and remote and local computers.
- Run WinSCP
- Check the box “Advanced Options”
- In the tree panel, click “environment”
- On the tree, click "Environment", then SCP
- On Shell box click "Enter:" then type "/bin/sh" on the combo box.
- On the tree, click "Session"
- Fill the Hostname field with BrazilFW IP address
- Fill the Username field with "root"
- Fill the Password field with your BrazilFW password
- Optionally click the save button
- Click the Login button and wait for the connection
