OPENVPN Question [INACTIVE]

I have setup OpenVpn on my BFW and I use it to connect to VPN into a network over the internet, so I installed the OpenVpn client and everything connects fine. When I try to map a drive it tells me that the path doesn't exsit. I run a tracert and it can see the other server, then when i map the drive it works. Is there anything I can do or check, so I do not have to run a tracert before mapping a drive? Thank you for taking your time to answer my question.

So I also setup the PopTop Vpn server on BFW and the same thing happens with that too, I have to run a tracert before i can map a drive.
