Kernel panic

Hi, i will tray to instal a BFW 2.31.10 to a IBM P4 2.66GHz, 256RAM, 40GB HDD. The instal takeover without problem but after a reboot i get this:
FAT: bogus logical sector size 0
FAT: bogus logical sector size 0
Kernel panic: VFS: unable to mount root fs on 01:00
can anyone help what can i do to resolve this problem? thx

HD SATA or IDE?
What type of Motherboard?

IDE, this is a IBM xSeries 306 1U server. With BFW 3.0 have no problem.
