address not found [INACTIVE]

for last two months my web browser cannot resolve any web page. There is always "address not found". BF is dialing, status is connected but browser still display "address no found".
DNS test is showing the following:
Trying to solve a.root-servers.net

nslookup: a.root-servers.net: Unknown host
Expecting: 198.41.0.4
Got......: NOTHING

Hi!. Questions.

Are you really connected to Internet? If so, what happens if you ping (from BrazilFW server) a public address specifying the IP address (i.e. ping 74.125.157.147) of the host instead of the URL? Do you get an answer back for that ping?
If you do, then you have a DNS problem. If you can't even get a response doing this, you have a connection problem (check everything concerning the ssty0 interface, is it mounted?). I hope this helps.
