Maybe it is the same problem that I found in the file /etc/rc.d/pkgs/mod.hdparm where it looks for a file /tmp/partition.info but that file doesn't exist. It should look instead for the file /tmp/boot.info.

He will verify all that later and come back with a statement like "great job ntbill"
or "ntbill, you don't understand how it works"
If hdparm is not started from mod.hdparm, then I don't know where it is started from.
