Mail server [INACTIVE]

Hi...


Anybody with experience.... That knows a small email server?...

Need to compile a mail server in brazilfw for my argentobridge add-on...

I try with send mail, but result very, very complicated....

I want to put a mail server that relay email from local user to the isp smtp server...

My idea is put outgoing smtp conecttion with very low prioriti, but at the same time i want to keep my users happy...

Any idea?

Yo no soy un experto en linux pero tuve la inquietud de armar un servidor Web y Mail en linux (use Debian) y de todos los servidores de mail que probe (muchos) fue el mas sencillo.

Estuve mirando el xmailserver....

Pero no encontre un manual para configurar las cuentas...

Vos podrias tirarme un cable en el tema de un smtp relay?

O sea configurar el smtp para que acepte reenviar los mails al smtp del isp....

Obviamente si no es molestia....

Nacho, el xmailserver permite esa configuración, mirá http://www.xmailserver.org/Readme.html#smtprelay_tab

Yo lo instale en Debian y la configuración la hice por web instalando https://sourceforge.net/project/screens ... p_id=32103 pero es PHP

Pero seguramente se puede configurar "a manopla" ...

mire los links que me pasaste.... bastante bueno el asunto pero sigo teniendo un pequeño inconveniente...

No se como configurar al smtp para que conecte con el smtp de mi isp...

El isp mio tiene autentificacion de usuario y contraseña...

Necesito configurarlo, pero segun la documentación, solo muestra como configurar el smtp server a nivel local, pero no con opcion de relay a otro smtp....

Alguna idea?

Mailsending only needs SMTP (MTA), you don't need pop3 and imap to send emails

For the moment Extremail works very well for me and I am using only smtp from him... It´s has 3 separated binaries...

each one respong to a function... SMTP, POP3 and IMAP...

Right now i am only using smtp binarie....

Just download and untar the binaries in your system....

They will work with out compilation.

Hi Nachazo.
Have u tried about forwarding other clients through that mail server?. I mean, using your mail server as a server to other providers (maybe free), that of course, let you do that, first.
