linux newbie question

hi folks...

It´s posiible mount the second partition in two diferents mount points?

I will explain my situation....

I have mounted the hda1 partition in /hdb directory...

But i want to mount the second partition in var/http/cgi-bin/bandwidthd...

Is posiible mount /hdb/bandwidthd/htdocs in var/http/cgi-bin/bandwidthd and the entire second partition in /hdb?

The idea is that the two mount points coexist each other in the same partition...

Is that possible?

Regards.

No it's not possible.

But after you mount the partition at the first point you can create a symbolic link for any folder/file inside it.

no need running another thttpd server, you can simple move the bandwidthd's htdocs to /var/http/htdocs, and make a static link to it.
so you can open it such ass http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8180/bw.

I take notice of the bug of bandwidthd, from source code, you can see the p2p src port and p2p dest port has wrong method.
and I don't know why it didn't put the these port into config file?

Thanks dreamcat... but the problem for bandwidthd is that it generates a lot of heavy syslog files...

These files consumes the ram and brazilfw hangs for that reason...

My solution was put bandwidthd in the hd and run a separeted web server.
