Automatic ConnTrack

Calculation of Automatic conntrack.

  • The system automatically calibrates the maximum amount of connections your network according to the amount of RAM you have in the Server: 
Before, in version 2.x, the rule was: 64 connections per Mega Byte of RAM.

Example: With 256 MB of RAM, you would have 256 x 64 = 16.384 connections.

  • Now, at the BFW 3.x, the new calculation, is thus: 
Approximately 1652 connections per Mega Byte of RAM

Example: With 256 MB of RAM, you would have 256 x 1652 = Approximately 422.912 connections.
