BrazilFW Firewall and Router is a mini Linux distribution intended to be a Firewall and Router.
BrazilFW is the successor of Coyote Linux originally started by Joshua Jackson and discontinued in version 2.24, on August 2005.
Adopted by Claudio and Marcelo - Brazil they continued its development under the name BrazilFW.
Originally designed to fit on a single floppy disk, and very low hardware requirements, BrazilFW 2.30.1. is the last floppy version released.
With its evolution and the need of a caching proxy, it was necessary to run from hard drive instead of floppy.
Currently the last stable version is 2.31.10, and there are two development branches of BrazilFW:

- 3.x This version is being developed from scratch by WoshMan and is based on Kernel 2.6x.
